A story published this week raised questions about whether the ingredients in Rooted Rest are sourced from verified Indian farms as we have stated. We take that question seriously. Our customers trusted us with a claim and they deserve to know where we stand.

Here is what we know.

Every ingredient in Rooted Rest is procured through two primary farm partners based in Uttarakhand and Kerala, both of whom we have worked with since before the brand launched. We have visited both facilities. Supplier documentation exists for every batch we have produced. We are compiling it into a single reviewable format and will have it ready within 48 hours, available to any journalist, regulatory body, or customer who requests it.

We also know that our internal verification process has gaps. We relied on supplier declarations without commissioning independent third-party audits at the farm level. That was a process decision we made early in the business and it is one we are now correcting.

Effective immediately, we have engaged an independent agricultural auditing firm to conduct a full review of our supply chain. Results will be published on our website within 60 days. Until that review is complete, we will not make any new sourcing claims beyond what we can currently verify in writing.

We are not asking anyone to take our word for it. We are asking for the time to prove it.
